They require 4 inches of overlap, our company standard is 6. The philosophy is that if you always exceed the standards that your work will never be below standard.

Clean work defines professional work. You shouldn’t have to endure living amongst construction debris because your job should be cleaned daily. At the end of every job a magnet is ran across your yard to pick up any loose nails. Your roof is washed and gutters cleaned out.

Our Warranties offer exceptional duration and coverage. When you are installing a product as good as ours, offering great warranties is second nature.

Our Service

The color matters. Don’t settle for small color swatches. We will lay out a full bundle of shingles on your roof for you to look at for as long as you would like for FREE.

Property Protection means a lot to both of us, which is why we take specific steps to protect your property. The valuables in peoples' attics are covered with a tarp before the messy tear off begins. Hot tubs and other fragile things are covered with plywood.

Kidder History

Roofing has been a family Tradition for 27 years. The roofing tradition started, in the Seattle Area, with Michael Kidder and his brothers. Michael's Son, Matthew Kidder was introduced into the family business at the ripe working age of 14. He began as an assistant to the tear off crew, where dust and dirt forged his work ethic and shaped his understanding of the grit behind the job.

The Father Michael met a wonderful lady who turned out to be his future wife and they moved back to her State of origin...the State of Florida. In Florida the roofing practices are put through the most extreme tests that mother nature can provide. So extreme that a common standard in the industry, Known as the Dade County Standard (Dade County being located in Florida), emerged as a means to test roofs under extreme conditions.

There in Florida, the son Matthew and his Father Michael and Shelly began a new venture in what the family trade of Roofing. Matthew was an installer at that time. He was often noted by neighbors and spectators of the project as a worker who "took extreme care in his work and was methodical in detail."

Matthew was formally inducted as a manager of production and was responsible for all things relating to getting the job done. He believed that quality is achieved through good hiring practices, written company standards, hard nosed Vince Lombardi training. He became so in touch with his workers that he was known to be able to judge a mans work by listening to the sound of the workers nail guns.

Home sick for the Northwest, Matthew returned to the Emerald City and founded Kidder Roofing of Seattle. In Seattle, all of his preparations in life unfolded. He set roots in his old hometown of Redmond and still keeps in contact with many life long friends from the past.

Kidder is our family name, and we will bear our name with the same pride, dignity and honor that we will have on your roof project.
