Tips on Finding a Good Seattle Roofing Company
So you have decided to install a new roof and now you are looking at hiring a roofing contractor to complete your roofing project.  The first thing that people usually want to know is what is the price of a new roof?  For a ballpark range new roofs range anywhere from $2 - $15 per square foot with most standard projects ranging in the $2.50 - $4.00 range.

With that in mind, I suggest that you find a budget that you are comfortable working with and then find a Seattle contractor that you are comfortable with.  The combination of the two usually is the best.

Finding comfort with a Seattle contractor is something that I can imagine is difficult to judge since most people do not have a broad knowledge base when it comes to roofing. Most people do not know if their roof is being installed correctly or not and fall back on some of the more simple measurements of professionalism that are easier to identify with.  The fact is that simple professionalism may or may not lead you in getting a premium roof.  Our site should help give you some preliminary tools that will help you identify some key things that will help you find the Seattle roofing company that is right for you.

One thing that I suggest asking yourself is "who is interested that this job gets done right?"  The willingness and able ness of your project manager is key in the quality of your job.  It is difficult to find good employees and even more difficult to find and a good manager.  Know who is going to be installing AND managing your project.  Remember that you are not just hiring your salesman so trust and a good feeling will only take you so far.

A good Seattle roofing company will take the time to educate you because an educated consumer is one who will likely make a decision that will be in their best interest, therefore making them the most happy consumer.

Another thing to consider is the locality of the roofing companies that you invite to bid your project.  If you live in Seattle or Bellevue then look for a Seattle roofing company.  Roofing Companies out in Monroe or Tacoma will probably end up costing more due to their travel time unless you live in Monroe or Tacoma.

Winter Roofing Tips:

It’s that time of year when the artic wind are beginning to blow and everyone is thinking mostly about the holidays.  I have a few tips for those luck few of you contemplating a roofing project this time of year.

Tip #1

This is not redundant because it applies differently so I must say first and foremost “Pick a reliable Seattle Roofing Contractor”.  This is very important this time of year because people that are in need of a roof service, mainly leak repairs, are normally in a huge rush to get it done this time of year.

The last thing that anyone wants to see during the holiday is a ceiling spot but be forewarned that picking in haste does not always pay off ESPECIALLY if you are making the much larger decision about having your entire roof replaced.

Tip #2

Doing a roofing project in the winter is less expensive than the summer

This is because there is usually a wane in demand that falls directly in line with basic econ 101.  You will also more than likely get much better sales service during the winter meaning that some contractors who wouldn’t have given you the time of day in the busy season will more than likely be begging at your door with candy in their hands.

Sorry to all my fellow contractors for being the snitch but they should know the truth so let it be told.

Tip #3

Make sure that your project will be protected during the process.  I would recommend asking your Seattle roofing contractor prospects about their preparations for storms followed with “When do you implement these procedures” and “Who implements, decides and takes responsibility for these procedures?”

The good news is that if you find a good roofing company that has a good contingency plan then you will be in very safe hands.  No contingency plan, then you are rolling the dice on the weather.

Where Were We During the Storm?

Our storm service began at 10:30 pm, the night of the big Seattle Wind Storm. We drove to every job site that was in progress. We worked through the night because those were our houses and we were the protectors, the guardians against the awesome forces of nature that seemed hell bent to cause massive amounts of roof damage through the Seattle area.

In fact our preparation began as soon as we stepped foot onto these job sites. One of the things that caused every one of our houses to fair so well is our use of wind resistant nails (used to fasten the roofing felt).
The things that we do as common practices are far from common and are often times unnecessary. Only .05 percent of houses will find the value of wind resistant felt nails. We believe that it is this small percentage that separates us from the norm.

You will never know many of the things that we do as a standard service because the invisible hand of good planning is successful only when it is invisible. And in the event that you ever have any problem, you can rest assured that we will be there to take care of your house as if it was our own. We are always on your side and look forward to serving you.
